In a little over a month, parents and students will experience the annual excitement of heading back to school. For so many, however, this time can cause stress for those worried about how they can possibly afford a new backpack or a new pair of shoes for their child.

To help ease these burdens, The Sharing Center is partnering with Shepherd’s Hope to share back-to-school gifts with students.

In June and July, students with their families can come to Shepherd’s Hope for a free school physical. While on The Sharing Center’s campus and after getting the check-up, families are welcome to receive additional free resources such as groceries, a free backpack, and a Bless Our Soles gift card sharing $25 to choose a new pair of shoes at Shoe Carnival.

From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on these dates:

• June 23
• July 13
• July 20
• July 26

A total of 500 Bless Our Soles gift cards will be distributed this summer. Seminole County residents eligible to receive the Bless Our Soles gift card(s) should bring:

1. Driver’s License or Picture I.D. for all adult household members (must be original)
2. Original Birth Certifications for all children under 18
3. Proof of Residence (document mailed to you within the last 30 days)

Kick-off the school year strong with a new pair of shoes and a durable backpack. Have your physical up to date and your shots cleared so you and your children can start the new school year healthy and happy.
