The room was full of laughter, dance moves, warm conversations, and familiar faces. For one evening, we set aside the daily rhythm of serving the community and turned our full attention to the people who make our work possible. We recently gathered our volunteers for a night of appreciation, and it was a celebration well earned.
When you visit The Sharing Center grounds on any given day, you’ll see our volunteers at work. They’re sorting donations, helping families at The Pantry, setting up community events, and welcoming neighbors who have come seeking support. Their presence shapes the entire experience for every person who walks through our doors.
Forty years in, that truth feels more powerful than ever. Compassion, when put into action, creates real and lasting change. Every hour our volunteers give translates into stability, dignity, and hope for someone facing a difficult season of life.

More than anything, the evening was a celebration of community. Every volunteer plays a role in creating a place where neighbors are met with kindness, encouragement, and respect during some of life’s hardest moments.
To every volunteer who has shown up with generosity and a heart to serve, whether for forty years or your first time: thank you. Your impact reaches far beyond anything we could ever measure, and it’s the foundation we’ll keep building on for the next forty years to come.
