The Sharing Center Spreads Holiday Cheer at Annual Christmas Neighborly Breakfast
On December 17th, The Sharing Center’s campus transformed into a beacon of holiday warmth and generosity during our annual Christmas Neighborly Breakfast. Sponsored by Comfort Inn & Suites of Sanford, this heartwarming community event brought together neighbors, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness to share in the spirit of the season. Guests enjoyed a hot, delicious breakfast made possible by the generous support of Comfort Inn & Suites, ensuring no one left with an empty stomach or heart.
Adding an extra layer of holiday goodwill, Miles to Go Charities distributed dignity bags filled with essential items, providing comfort and care to those in need. This act of kindness exemplifies how community partnerships can create lasting impacts for vulnerable populations.
The event also featured an inspiring welcome from Matt Borchelt, COO of The Sharing Center, and Matt Morgan, City Commissioner of Longwood. Their words emphasized the importance of unity and compassion during the holidays. Attendees were then serenaded with live Christmas carols performed by The Sharing Center’s board members, led by guitarist JD Gierach. The music uplifted spirits and created a festive atmosphere that embodied the true meaning of the holiday season.
