Families in Crisis

Did you know, nearly 40% of families in Seminole County are struggling to make ends meet? According to a recent report, thousands of our neighbors are living in crisis-mode all year long. Our Families in Crisis program offers relief with urgently needed support to help keep the lights on, a roof over their heads, and food on the table. It is our belief that every person deserves dignity and compassion, especially when experiencing a lack of funds or food.

Through Families in Crisis, our case managers are able to provide life-changing essentials to our neighbors in need.

How We Help

We serve Seminole County families and individuals who are experiencing challenging circumstances. Last year, over 20,000 individuals received financial assistance, groceries, clothing, and other support helping to prevent hunger and homelessness.

Providing Basic Essentials

We consider a basic essential as anything we need to live in our world today – a home, food, clothing, electricity and water, and resources to thrive. Those we serve are able to receive a helping hand when their crisis threatens their stability.

Compassionate Support

Every person who walks through our doors and receives assistance, is compassionately met by a case manager to provide additional support such as budgeting, benefits help, and employment referrals. This additional support helps thousands turn their situation from despair into hope.
